Hello!

I'm Kris, the maker behind a jar of bees.

By day I work in tech. By evening and weekend I'm in the workshop cutting, sanding and painting things that make people smile.

Blunt Objects started as a single wooden sword painted for fun and grew into a whole armoury. Each piece is cut from plywood, sanded smooth and painted by hand in matte acrylics, keeping a small, cheerful palette so every one feels like it stepped out of a storybook.

How it's made

Sketch, cut, sand, paint, seal. Usually in that order, occasionally with a cup of tea in between. Because everything's done by hand, no two pieces are exactly the same.
